Heike Artworks

Here's a example of one of the actual original art pages used in producing the Secret Weapons comic published by Valiant/Acclaim in the mid-'90's This page are from issue #14, and were penciled by John Nadaeu, known for his long association with the Star Wars comic book franchise at Dark Horse, having illustrated various SW series for them. The artwork is inked by Mark Heike, who is best- known for his long association with AC Comics and especially his artwork on the famous Femforce long running comic book, as well as memorable stints on TMNT at Image, Star Trek at DC, Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi and Xena at Dark Horse, and Mantra at Malibu. Fans who appreciate sci-fi tech and realistic depictions of people will enjoy these pages, as those are Nadeau's strongpoints-and he shows them here. These are hand-drawn, one-of-a-kind originals, produced with pencil, pen, brush and india ink. Art area is 91/2" X 14 1/8" drawn in black ink on white, 11 3/8" X 17" white two-ply bristol baord, preprinted with Valiant margins and grids. Each of these pages is already signed by pencil artist John Nadeau in the upper right-hand corner, and if the winning buyer so requests it, this page can be autographed by inker Mark Heike, as well.

This particular page has a lot of rubber cement paste up stains from letter balloons, so it's a little cheaper than what we would have priced it at. See close ups.
